Skater Style Session | Self

Growing up, I always thought those who skate or go with the flow were the coolest people and wanted to be like them so badly. Yet it intimidated me how dangerous and uneasy the boards felt underneath my feet. So, over quarantine last year, I decided to take some time outside, and put my efforts towards attempting to learn how to skate.

I found myself running myself back up the hill time and time again to feel comfortable riding the board down it. There were even some days when the little girls across the street would stop whatever playing they were doing with their neighbor friends, to try the feat out for themselves. It was the sweetest thing to feel the spark of inspiration illuminating them with each attempt.

I ultimately loved how cool I felt, the vibes that I was taking in and the fact that I was getting to take part in something I always wanted to. So naturally, I wanted to channel this feeling with a few photos. Here are some of the results.
