Some Final Words to My Fellow Classmates:

We finished the year the same way we started...gathered as a united class around a bonfire on the beach. Sure, we're made up of different groups of different shapes and sizes. Sure, we wouldn't have all hung out together on a normal Tuesday night, but tonight was different. We were able to put aside our differences and become one family. Before we all head our separate ways, some half way across the country, we were able to recognize the importance of roots, community and friendship to get us through this crazy journey called life. We were able to talk to some people we hadn't talked to since the beginning of the year and spend time with long time acquaintances. And that is such a beautiful thing.

This year has been filled with crazy events. From difficult times like when the protesters invaded our streets and the AP tests we forgot to study for, to the highs of winning back to back CIF championships and wearing our Seahawk Pride every Friday night football game. This class has been through it all together. And we've responded better than I could've ever imagined. We've grown, matured and inspired together. It's the kind of thing that makes it worth staying up till 1 a.m. to write about.

So as we move forward, let us not forget where we come from, who has been there for us, who has helped us even in the smallest of ways. Let us continue to encourage one another and be kind. And remember we are not alone. Go achieve b16 things.
